Lucas First Christmas!

What a day! Lucas first christmas went off without a hitch. Lastnight we baked Gingerbread cookies for Santa and opened our new christmas pajamas. Lucas woke up this morning at 9am and came down to see all his gifts from Santa. After opening all his gifts he didn't know what to play with first. We have had so much fun playing and lounging around the house. Its been a great day!

Long time no blog! We've been really

busy trying to get ready for Lucas' first Christmas. Between all the shopping, decorating, and wrapping I haven't had time to update our blog. However, I have had time to take some pictures for our Christmas card which you all should be getting in the mail soon! Here are some of the pics I took. Enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We went to Virginia to visit. Everyone was so excited to see Lucas and see how much he had grown. We ate lots of turkey, stuffing, and pie. I'm sure we'll pay for it in the gym this week. Lucas also ate some turkey, green beans, and sweet potatoes and LOVED it! We went out shopping for a bit on Black Friday however, we didn't find any killer deals so we still have a lot of christmas shopping left to do.

Lucas is 9 months old!

Lucas turned 9 months old today, WOW! We took him for his 9 month check up yesterday and he is a healthy little boy. He's hitting all his milestones and is growing just as he should. He weighed in at 20lbs 6oz in his birthday suit and was 30.5 inches tall. He was 50% in his weight and 95% in his height. He's gonna be tall and skinny just like his Daddy!

1st Haircut

We had a great weekend! On Saturday we went to Birkdale and walked around, hung out at the bookstore and drank some coffee (well, Reda did Lucas had water and I had hot cocoa). On Sunday we took Lucas for his first haircut. We went to Snip Its in Huntersville which is geared towards kids and he sat in the chair and got his haircut like a champ. No tears, no fussing, nothing. Which it probably helped that there were all kinds of distractions, mirrors, videos, bubbles, animal crackers............need I go on. We took LOTS of pictures and videotaped the entire thing. After the haircut we all went to Lucas' buddy, Ryan's birthday party. He had a blast crawling around meeting new friends and playing with everyone. It was so nice to see all our friends since what has felt like forever.

Trick or Treat!

Lucas had a blast on his first halloween. We went down to Davidson for the Halloween Parade and then to Uncle Mike's house and around his neighborhood. Then we visited Aunt Sandy and on to Lala's house. We finally finished our rounds at 8:30 with a very sleepy Zebra. Here are some pics. Enjoy!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch Saturday at Carrigan Farms. We had a blast picking out pumpkins and taking pictures. Lucas was too wrapped up in all the excitement going on around him so we have no pictures of him looking at the camera.

Oh where to start

We've had a busy week this week. I haven't updated the blog because our computer at home has a virus and Reda is repairing it so its out of service till the weekend. We have exciting news though, Lucas started crawling yesterday!!! Yippie!!! I'm so proud of him, I clap and cheer everytime he crawls and he just grins from ear to ear. Its the cutest thing! His little legs do get ahead of his hands every now and then and he face plants into the carpet but, we're getting there. I will post a video here once Reda fixes the computer. He is also cutting two more upper teeth and that will make 8 total, he'll be eatin' steak before we know it. We were able to find a costume for Lucas for Halloween, he is going to be a Zebra. I was so afraid we had waited too long and wouldn't be able to find anything but, to our suprise Old Navy had tons of costumes and better yet they were on sale! Thats about all the news we have for now. I will post some pics and a video later on so check back in.

She's Here!

Emma Lee Houston was born at 8:15am on October 9th, 2007. She weighed in at 8lbs 6oz and was 20.5 inches long. She is adorable and I couldn't be happier for my sister. After 2 boys she finally got her little girl. Lucas and I went down Wednesday to visit. Lucas was a little jealous of his mama holding a new baby at first but, then he was very curious and wanted to touch her. It was so cute. We had lots of fun visiting little Emma and we can't wait to see her again.

Moo

Unfortunately Lucas' cow costume for Halloween is too small. However, I couldn't pass up taking a picture of him in it before I return it. We're a little sad because we really wanted him to be a cow for halloween. Now we have no idea what he's gonna be.

Tough Day

We had a pretty tough day today. Lucas was really fussy and wanted to be held all day long. I'm not sure if he's cutting more teeth (he already has 6) or if maybe he's developing an ear infection. We're gonna keep our fingers crossed that tomorrow's a better day for him. Other than that it was a typical Sunday for us. We just layed low and did some housework, mowed the yard, and watched a little T.V. We went to The Crims yesterday to watch the Alabama game. Lucas got to see his buddies Ryan and Sam, they are both getting so big. We had lots of fun visiting and hope to have many more playdates. Thats about it for our weekend. Sorry we didn't take any pics this weekend but, you've seen one crying baby you've seen 'em all.

Big Boy Bath!

Lucas took his very first Big Boy Bath yesterday in the tub. He had such a great time splashing about. He was a little afraid of his giant rubber ducky his aunt Fatim gave him but, once we took it out he was fine! Our little boy is growing up so fast, each and every day is a new adventure.

Getting Started!

Welcome to our Blog! I never quite figured out the whole website thing and have no clue how to post on it or add pictures etc. Reda is way too busy to keep up with it so here I am starting a blog. Hopefully this will keep all of our family and friends up to date on whats going on with us, as well as being able to view pictures of our little Lukie.
