Halleluah for warm weather!

The weather has been so nice here......in the 70's and 80's. Lucas loves to be outdoors and cries to be outdoors all day long. It usually starts after breakfast and doesn't end until bedtime. We spend about 2-2.5 hours in the evening going to the park, riding the bike, playing in the back yard, etc. He is now tall enough to reach the door knobs and tries to turn the knob and let himself outside but, thank goodness he hasn't figured it out yet. I guess we'll be visiting Target this weekend to buy the baby proof knob covers. He's a sneaky little boy I tell ya!

Fun, fun, fun!

We bought a bike trailer so we can take Lucas for rides and get some exercise for ourselves. He absolutely loves riding in it however, hates........I mean LOATHES the helmet. Oh well safety first! I have taken him out in the evenings a few times and the past two weekends we've went riding all together. Although we get stares and gawked at (I'm sure its just because of the handsome lil man in the trailer) we do enjoy it and are glad we bought it.

He Talks!

Alas we're finally able to catch Lucas "talking" on camera. He has learned to say ball, bird, bye, and thank you. We we're able to catch ball and bye today and wanted to share. Enjoy!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! We had a great easter. We went to Virginia to visit with family and celebrate Easter. The easter bunny brought Lucas lots of goodies! He got a watering can/shovel/rake set, a book, a tiny magnadoodle, bubbles, animal crackers, cookies, and a new sippy cup. The easter bunny also brought him some colored eggs that were decorated with Mickey Mouse! Lucas had a blast hunting easter eggs but, didn't understand about putting them in his basket. He quickly got the hang of it. He did try to eat the eggs a few times but, we would hurry and substitue the real egg for a plastic one. All in all it was a great Easter!

Weekend Fun!

We had a great weekend! Since it rained and was pretty dreary all day Saturday we wanted to do something today and get out of the house. We went to Dan Nicholas Park . We took Lucas there before but, he was about 6 months old so he didn't really get to interact with the animals or the rides. He had a great time talking to the animals, riding the carosel and train, and playing on the playground. Here are some pictures we took.

Yay for Nice Weather!

The weather was beautiful yesterday. Sunny and 68! Lucas and I enjoyed some time at the park. It was so nice after having all that cold weather last week. Lucas loves the outdoors and goes to his stroller and whines because he knows thats his ride to the park. Its so cute! He's still a bit unsteady on his feet when walking outside but, after a few minutes he gets the hang of it and is running from mommy. He loves to try to make new friends and will walk up to almost any child his size and just smile at them. He tries to "talk" to them but, they have no idea what he's saying and usually just stand and stare at him or walk away. He's not the least bit bashful.

Love the Baby

Lucas is growing up so fast and learning neat, new things each day. This week he has learned "Love the Baby". We're able to see how gentle and sweet he can be. He takes his Teddy, Mickey Mouse, or anything stuffed really and when I say "Lucas love the baby" he will cuddle it tight and hug it close. Then he gives it to me to "love" and back and forth. We play this game daily and it just melts my heart away.
